A book written by Sulemain Ahmer covering some of the times he spent doing charity work in war torn areas such as Bosnia, Chechnya and Tazikistan. I finished this small account in a day and within one day I gained so many things that it is impossible to list them all. In this blog I document some of my impressions. The link from where the book can be downloaded is also mentioned.
Recently, while reading Surah Ash-Shu’ara’, I came across the conversations of Anbiya Hazrat Musa (AS) and Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), in which they explained who Allah is, to their people. I produce the same below from the translation ‘Noble Quran’ by Mufti Taqi Usmani. Please note that the Arabic is also so simple that people with even a slight knowledge of Arabic will be able to understand the words without reading the translation. Also, here, I have quoted some other passages from Quran giving more details about Allah.
Surah-e-Mominun, in it’s first ten verses defines the 7 attributes of successful people. In this blog, I collect some text from Ma’ariful Quran by Mufti Muhammad Shafi, explaining the verses. Also the text is available at the end of the blog, for people who want to read more details about it.
There is no shortage of people telling us the immense number of problems that our country, our city, our nation or our Ummah is facing. But very few people talk about any solutions. Of those people providing solutions, still very few talk about solutions which are given by Allah. Often discarding them as baseless and not implementable. I look into this blog in the light of some Ayahs from Quran, which talks about Allah providing us with solutions.
A few days back I was teaching my eldest son, how to ride a cycle. It was a difficult task. The bike was bigger than him, was a bit heavy and it was the first time he was riding without any of the training wheels. Alhamdulillah after about an hour of running up and down with him, scolding and motivating him at the same time, he learned to balance the cycle. It was an exhilarating experience watching him ride away in the proverbial sun. In this blog I write about a very important lesson that I learned.
An excellent clip from the speech of Maulana Tariq Jameel.
When the Kuffar of Makkah heard that our beloved Prophet was calling not only them but the entire humanity towards La Ilaha IllAllah Mohammad Ur Rasool Allah, they revolted as they immediately understood how life altering statement this is. Unfortunately we have lost the actual meaning of this Kalima. In this blog I will try to understand the heavy requirement that this statement (kalima) places on us.
